I am giving a speech in my speech class centered around legalizing sports betting in Florida. After doing more research, I found out that a deal was made between the state of Florida and the Seminole tribe ( due to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act), but was nearly destroyed because the state was unsettled about the whole deal. This is mostly because there was a question whether it would be only on tribal grounds or in the whole state of Florida. Because it's online, all bets will be wired and "placed" in the seminole land. New Jersey had the same issue when legalizing sports betting as they came to the conclusion all online sports bets would be from Atlantic City because that's where the mobile servers main location is. We were so close to a deal last year that should have happened, but didn't. It's frustrating. A year later, and there is no progress? Really? the amount of money the state can be making is ridiculous. The sports betting community needs to be heard.
