Legalize Recognition of Non-Abrahamic Religions in Egypt

The Issue

I am deeply respectful to the diverse religious beliefs that have shaped our world, and it is baffling to me that in Egypt, a country rich with historical and cultural significance, only the 3 major Abrahamic religions are legally recognized. This includes faiths like paganism (especially Kemeticism which is Egyptian polytheism), Buddhism, Hinduism, Daoism, and others. These religions have significant followings globally and deserve recognition.

Egypt's tourism industry thrives due to its rich history which is deeply rooted in Egyptian polytheism. Yet ironically, this very religion lacks legal recognition in Egypt today. Despite being a minority religion today, Kemeticism remains one of the largest pagan religions worldwide and if Egypt is okay with reconstructing the pyramids (something that might actually damage them) then they can break one Islamic law and allow Egyptian polytheists to have members who are actual descendants of the ancient Egyptians (Coptic people).

Egypt's laws are way less influenced by Islam compared to other Islamic countries due to its large tourism industry. Therefore it stands as an ideal candidate for embracing religious diversity legally.

In a world where we strive for acceptance and equality on all fronts - race, gender, sexual orientation - why should religion be any different? It's time for Egypt to acknowledge these non-Abrahamic faiths officially.

Let us urge the Egyptian government to extend legal recognition towards these religions; not just as an acknowledgment of their historical significance but also as a step towards true religious freedom in the country. Sign this petition now! as a Greek polytheist I see this as beneficial as not only would it encourage more people to immigrate to Egypt, but it'll also allow actual descendants of the ancient Egyptians to BE Egyptian pagans as most members of kemeticism are descendants of Nubians and the Kushites which while still did believe in Egyptian gods, it's sad that the ethnicity that started it is the one that can't practice it due to were they live, also the "true" ancient Egyptians aren't black or white, they're Coptic which is it's own thing, ancient Egypt was a diverse sector of Africa and saying they were all as Michael once said "black or white" is like saying all ancient Greeks were these very light skinned white people even though Mediterranean is it's own sector of Caucasian.
