Legalize online poker in Ohio - Keep gaming safe!

The Issue

As it currently exists, poker is only available in the live form and usually for large sums of money. Regulated online poker creates a safer experience for the players and allows for smaller, more financially approachable games.

There are non-regulated poker sites that currently accept Ohio players. These sites are easy to deposit money with, but often difficult to withdraw money from as they complicate the cash out process to attempt to keep the money that the players have earned. And the player has no course of reconciliation for their funds as Ohio does not regulate online poker. This leaves the average person with one of two options to play poker; play at a casino for hundreds of dollars OR play at a home game that could be potentially dangerous.

Legalized, regulated online poker is mutually beneficial to the average person who wants to have some fun playing a few hands without making a long trip to a casino, and to the state as it can collect tax for public services. Please help make Ohio a safe place to play poker safely!
