At this point in time, millions of women are men are falling victim to rapes, sexual assaults, murders, and the list goes on of terrible things that happen every single day in Australia. We see cases like Eurydice Dixon, and as everyone has heard the latest stabbing in Bondi, which killed 6 people at the moment of writing this. All of these terrible events could have been prevented with something as little as pepper spray being legalised all across Australia. At this current moment the only state in which pepper spray is legal for anyone to carry is Western Australia. The benefits this could bring to the community would be exponential. We shouldn’t have to face these struggles everyday, worrying if someone is gonna come up behind you and try attacking you. By legalising this we can ensure the safety of our community, taking these steps to improve, and prevent these horrendous events that occur daily.
