Commissioned by the Yorkshire Mural Artists Group, this mural by Graeme Willson, done in the 1980s called 'Fragments from the Post Industrial State'.

It has adorned the wall on the boaters only side of Oddy Locks for over 35 years and is now threatened by developers interested only making as much money as possible. They plan to demolish Canal Mills where the mural is and have made no provision for the safety of the mural; presumably planning to send it to landfill with the rest of the Canal Mills demolition waste.

I would like the developer to reinstate the wall on which the mural sits, repair and renovate the mural and rehang the mural. If you agree that this important part of Leeds industrial heritage should be protected, please sign this petition.
