Allow Students to have Flexible Extensions on all assignments during COVID-19.

Allow Students to have Flexible Extensions on all assignments during COVID-19.
The Issue
During the COVID-19 epidemic that we are all facing, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding our futures. Many students and their family, friends and loved ones will be affected during this hard and uncertain time. With a lot of students having to become careers or look after their loved ones over the coming weeks and months - or possibly even longer.
Although the university has suspended all in-person lectures, tutorials and classes, there is still the expectancy that all work is to resume as usual and assignments are to be done and completed as if COVID-19 didn't exist. However, in reality many students cannot simply do the work that is asked of them because they have got to help out loved ones and go from being students to careers within a short period of time.
This expectation on students currently is both unrealistic and impractical at this time. Students won't be able to focus on their university work and complete assignments while being careers, having financial worries and focusing on the much more important day-to-day lives that are much more important in these unprecedented times.
We want as students the flexibility around our deadlines so we haven't got to focus on our academic lives, but our personal lives - or at the very least, 4 weeks additional on to each deadline so we aren't under considerable pressure balancing home life, personal lives, child care, financial state and individuals mental health during the COVID-19 epidemic.
