We the undersigned demand a binding parental ballot on whether the Prendergast Federation schools (Prendergast School, Prendergast Ladywell School, Prendergast Vale School) should convert to Academy status.
The Issue
The change to academy status of these schools should have the widest possible consultation, a parental ballot would allow parents to express their views on the Governor's proposals in the most open and democratic manner.
The conversion of these three schools would not only affect them, but will also have a potentially damaging effect on the other schools in the Borough of Lewisham, London and the change if it takes place would not be able to be reversed.
