Education is important?  We strive for the best? Teachers are valued? 

As elected officials, it would be important that we remain at the top of the national education ranking.   

Our students many of whom will be ready to vote this year as they leave our high schools, know the value you place on educator, both with your high expectations and your budget.

Little research is required to find that, http://msa.maryland.gov/msa/mdmanual/01glance/economy/html/income.html, shows  mean income in Maryland in 2009 was $47,419 and in 2014 increase to $55,143.  Our teachers taught us that is greater than the 3% increase for educators. 

How much money will it take to get us back to number in the national ranking when we fall to tenth or even further?
