I am a school bus driver. I see drivers ignore my red flashing lights and red flashing stop sign on a regular basis while I am picking up students. It is nearly impossible to get a license plate number and vehicle description while trying to safely load students and watch for the safety of students still outside of the bus. 

Without a license plate number, there is no enforcement of the current school bus stop sign law, unless there is a police officer to witness the infraction.  This is equivalent to having drunk driving laws and never issuing anybody a ticket for driving drunk.  Drivers Don’t take the law seriously because It is easy to get away with.  Others think that stop sign means stop, look and proceed.  Drivers don’t take the law seriously because it is hard to get  a ticket for it. 

 External cameras on the school bus will be able to catch the violators to issue tickets to Violators.  Is the only way to affect the change
