I want to make it a legal requirement to drive past a horse wide and slow while on the roads even if the rider is not using hand signals. Horses are easily frightened by cars, lorrys, buses and farm machinery that don't slow down when passing them. When horses get scared they spook or rear sending riders easily off them. I have been a rider for 9 years and have had my share of ignorant drivers thinking it's ok to speed past revving their engines. Until there is a law horses, riders and drivers are not safe. As riders we need protection on the road from the law. Lives of horses and people are being lost, we could put an end to this by simply signing this petition.
