Daniel Pearl Magnet High School in a small, community based journalism high school in Lake Balboa, California. Although our students have had a very successful past couple of years, the school has suffered from low enrollment, causing a lack of funding for programs that are crucial to our students' enrichment. 

Having a newly paved parking lot would help to increase the appeal of the school to potential new students which would help increase enrollment, and therefore increase funding to help the school reach its full potential! It would also decrease safety hazards for older or injured staff members, students, parents, and anyone else who comes to visit the school. 

DPMHS has been on the waiting list to get our parking lot repaved for years, with no updates from the district or maintenance teams. Sign this petition to urge LAUSD maintenance staff members to start the process of having our parking lot repaved before we return back to school! Our magnet school provides quality education for kids coming from all backgrounds and all parts of the valley. But we cannot continue to do this without the support from our district and our community!
