Some people and I went to the store on Saturday, April 7, and asked the owner to give Zap to us or we protest but he said no and kicked us out! He said that he would just take Zap home and I asked him if Zap would be in a cage at his home and he said yes, just like the numerous bunnies he raised during his 35 years as a breeder. I had problems with this petition on Saturday and could not post an update but I posted it on Zap's FB page and people bombarded the store's FB page with negative reviews and posts. After a couple of hours of bad publicity, they took their FB page down. Someone reported that they removed Zap from the store so I went to their store on Sunday and saw the sign on the door that said, "There are No Live Bunnies or Birds Here. They are on Vacation Elsewhere." So they probably took Zap home like he said he would and Zap is now in a cage at their house. Well, we don't want Zap caged anywhere, at the store or their house. We are not letting up until we know that he is safe in a loving home where he can roam free, eat greens/carrots/fruits & not caged in a wire bottom cage! Their removing Zap from the store will not stop us from demanding his freedom! We are starting a letter-writing campaign to the store at Walker's Quality Cage & Feed. 4298 Kipling St, Suite A, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. When you write the letter, do not say anything that could be perceived as a threat or illegal acts.
