On Friday July 10th an amber alert was issued for 3 year old Kansas City Kansas girl Olivia Jansen. Within the days investigation her body was found beaten, tortured and dumped in a shallow grave. 2 days later Wyandotte counties D.A. Mark Dupree announced 1st degree murder charges and judge set 500k bail for both Howard Jansen III and Jackie Kirkpatrick, the father and his girlfriend. 

In the months leading up to 3 year old Olivia Jansen's death, her grandparents had made numerous calls to Kansas Dept of children & family child protective services to report the ongoing abuse suspected within the home. Calls began a short time after the father and girlfriend had gotten together in Jan 2020 and sudden signs of neglect, abuse and drug use had become apparent. Reports were made up and through June 22, 2020 to KS Dcf/Cps with a home visit recently performed May 20th 2020 and no utilities were on in the home. Still the families cries go neglected and unheard. 

This is the 2nd murder in Wyandotte County in 5 years (2015 Adrian Jones) of innocent children killed by parents they trusted to love and protect them with active ongoing reports made to Kansas CPS. The regional director for this program in the wyco area is none other wyco d.a. Mark Dupree's wife Shanelle Dupree. This is a conflict in going forward with justice for Olivia Jansen! The level of negligence and incompetence has proven fatally dangerous to our community from both Mark and Shanelle Dupree within their duties as public servants. D.A. Dupree recently dropped the ball on a case involving slain officers causing miscarriage of justice. It is pertinent Dupree recuse himself or be terminated of his duty as D.A. How could we trust him to hold his wife accountable for vicarious negligence? We can't and that's unconstitutional. 

Back Off Dupree! You are unfit to try this case and Olivia deserves better just like our slain officers! WYCO DEMANDS ACTION NOW!
