The Issue
To: The Prime Minister of India, and the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports.
As millions of Indian fans stay up late to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a painful question echoes across our country: With 1.45 billion people and the world's 4th largest economy, why are the Blue Tigers not on the pitch?
The answer doesn't lie in a lack of passion; it lies in a severe deficit of playing surfaces. Our raw talent is starved of infrastructure. If we want our national team to stand proudly among the world's best at the FIFA World Cup 2030, we must radically transform our sporting landscape from the ground up.
We urgently request the Prime Minister's Office to champion a national mission: "Operation Blue Tiger 2030."
Our Pillars for Infrastructure Revolution:
A FIFA-Standard Stadium in Every State Capital: To bring international tournaments, world-class friendlies, and top-tier league football to every corner of the country, providing young athletes an aspirational home ground.
A Dedicated Football Pitch in Every District Headquarter: Grassroots football cannot grow on concrete. Every single district in India requires at least one high-quality, floodlit, accessible turf ground to run local youth leagues, identify local talent early, and train the next generation of players and referees. We need support to more football clubs like the Kolhapur Sports Association, and Union Foot ball club of Jaipur, so that they could be an example for similar district clubs to come up in the country.
A Integrated National Scouting Pipeline: Linking these district grounds straight to a centralized database, ensuring a kid playing in a remote village has the same opportunity to wear the national jersey as someone in a metro city.
We don't just need a cricket-dominated sports culture. We need a multi-sport revolution where the beautiful game thrives. Mr. Prime Minister, let infrastructure be the launchpad for our global football dreams.
