Following my public question at Full Council, local SEND providers have verified that the council isoffering advance upfront payments, 30-day terms, and funding for non-attendance. The council also assured me they are working on ways to host these expert teams inside our borders.

The Council currently has a live Short Breaks Consultation Survey open until midday on Monday, 3 August.
It is vital that we fill this out right now to back up our petition with raw parent evidence. If we do not flood their system with our real experiences, the council will simply use the survey as a tick-box exercise to claim everything is fine

I have formally submitted my next public question for the upcoming Executive cycle. This question builds directly on our survey responses to challenge how the council maps special needs spaces and how they plan to hold major local providers financially accountable.
