Because the WGN “News at Nine” has been replaced by national programming on WGN America, the nightly Illinois Lottery drawings are no longer available for viewing outside Chicago. We’re missing Tom Skilling’s weather reports and Linda Kollmeyer’s lottery drawings.

The Chicago Tribune reports the Illinois Lottery is considering taking live drawings off WGN.

And Michael Sneed of The Chicago Sun-Times says Lottery Directory Michael Jones is thinking about turning Linda Kollmeyer into an avatar.  

Sneed says:  Huh?

We say:  Nooooooo!!!

We must save Linda Kollmeyer!

We urge Larry Wert, President of Broadcast Media at Tribune Company, and Matthew Cherniss, President and General Manager of WGN America, to return the 9 p.m. WGN-TV newscasts to the WGN America programming.
