THERE COMES A TIME WHEN ONE HAS TO STAND UP FOR HUMANE TREATMENT OF ANIMALS AND FIGHT WRONG-DOINGS HAPPENING IN ANIMAL SHELTERS  -- THEY HIDE LACK OF COMPASSION BEHIND PROTOCOL AND POLICY BECAUSE IT CAN GO ON AND NOBODY QUESTIONS THEM !!
Big Spring Animal Control Texas is a shelter run by the Police Department which has around 40 kennels. This shelter takes in around 1000 - 1200 pets annually
On May 26, six dogs were on the kill-list -- one of them was reclaimed and one tagged for rescue.. the remaining 4 were killed.
The sad fact is that more than 50 % of the shelter was empty and in addition to the 4 dogs on the euth-list , three more were killed .. and one of them already had rescue and was tagged.. due to flooding in Texas her transport was held up.. The Animal Control was well aware of this fact and killed her anyway -- and also 2 more dogs who were not even on the euth-list given to rescuers.. they had no chance at all !! --  and with 50% of the shelter empty !!

The Police Chief at Big spring says " " We are not here for the quality of life of the animals! "
Well then why is the Police Department in charge of the Animal-shelter ? Animals are humble and helpless like little children and they are not criminals to be handled by the Police Department. As per research it is seen that Animal Controls under Police Departments tend to have high-kill rates

I am asking for help.. the community of Big Spring Texas, Animal Rescues, Animal Rights Activist to please stand with me and STOP the senseless killing of dogs in our community. Call your City Council members, call the Police Department, and tell them it's time for change!
