Larimer county cps investigation

Larimer county cps investigation
The Issue
This petition arises from a deeply personal and painful experience. On September 9, 2022, Larimer County Child Protective Services took my daughter, Henna Brie Schwab, based on what I believe were unfounded charges against my wife. The following months saw our family ensnared in a distressing Dependency and Neglect case that, in our view, lacked substance. As of November 24, our struggle continues, alongside nearly 300 families in Loveland, Colorado, who feel their rights have been unfairly dismissed by the very system designed to protect them.
We allege that the caseworker, the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL), and the county attorney responsible for our case has repeatedly attempted to circumnavigate the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that was signed. We believe Larimer County CPS is prioritizing profit over the welfare of children and families.
Our goal is not only for our family's plight to be heard and acted upon, but to shine a light on what we view as a systemic problem within Larimer County CPS — the removal of children without thorough investigation. We keep in mind that each case of child removal is unique and complexities may abound. However, we firmly assert that every child and every family deserves to have their case duly and fairly investigated.
For all the families in Loveland, Colorado, and beyond who feel muted, misrepresented, and tossed aside by the very systems meant to protect them, we urge you to lend your voices in demanding thoroughness, fairness, and accountability from Larimer County CPS. Every signature brings us one step closer to ensuring that no more children are unjustly taken away from their homes, and that every family's right to justice and proper investigation is upheld. We kindly request you to sign this petition.
