Skerton Community High School is under threat of closure as the County Council do not see the school as having a viable future. As every child matters, this closure will have a devastating impact on all those children who choose to go to Skerton because it is the only non-selective school in our district. A school like Skerton recognises that children have a variety of needs and specialises in taking care of particularly vulnerable children.
