Following an email from Knowsley ward councillor Adam Yates, he has informed me that this meeting would be an opportunity for the community to air their views and concerns regarding safety issues surrounding the Fiveways road junction. I am going to invite a reporter from the Southport Visitor as well as they have shown support for our concerns by publishing the story about the number of people who have signed the petition in such a short space of time. Please try your best to attend if you can, especially if you have signed the petition and please bring any questions/issues about the traffic management/safety of the junction that you would like to raise. It is important that we demonstrate our commitment to encouraging some effective changes to improving the safety of this junction as soon as possible before a fatality occurs.
The meeting is at the The Cottage Lane Mission in Ormskirk at 7.15pm.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks again for all your support.
Michelle
*I will post the responses to my emails from Cllr Fillis and Adam Yates in the next couple of updates and also any information I obtain regarding questions I have raised through the Freedom of Information request I have made to Lancashire Police as soon as I get it.
