Hi all, I just wanted to send you all a copy of the letter I have composed this evening to our local MP, Rosie Cooper. I will update you of her response once it has been received. Thanks again to all that have signed. The petition has very nearly reached 1000 people in two days. Wow!!! Here is my letter. Please feel free to email her yourself at Rosie@RosieCooper.net. Dear Rosie, I have some concerns on a community level. I'm not sure if you are aware but another serious RTC occurred at the Fiveways junction on Saturday 10th of Sept. I set up a petition with Change.org at 3pm on the day as I actually cried as I walked passed and saw where the yellow car had landed as part of the collision. It had ended up on the pavement (missing the corner house wall of Halsall Lane by millimetres) that is frequented by dozens of pedestrians, daily. The petition is self explanatory and has gained nearly 1000 signatures in 2 days. Can you tell me how best to proceed on this as I am sure you will agree, urgent action must be taken with regards to this wholly unsafe junction? I am requesting certain information under FOI from Lancs Police regarding RTC's in the past three years at this junction. Can you give your thoughts on how best to proceed, so that some 'actual changes' and action occur, to make this junction safer, before a road user or pedestrian is killed? I look forward to hearing from you so I can update the petition of your response.
