Just an update to let people know that we have had a meeting with the North of England specialist teams and I am grateful for this. I believe they have listened and have raised or will be raising my case in certain meetings. This will also include a meeting where Norman Lamb will be in attendance. I am unsure about how much information is allowed to be shared but for the time being at least people have listened. I understand the current situation and that there is actually no care for my daughter because not many children require such specialised treatment However there was a time when she wasn't considered to need a secure unit and she was still sent over 70 miles away from me . Many professionals compare it to somebody needing a complicated operation so they have to travel. This is true however those people usually return home. Rachael has been away from me for 14 months now. We face another Christmas without her and I will keep on going. I understand the reasons, the system, the lack of money. This means nothing to me when I can't be with my daughter and she can't see her family. My last visit cost £200 to get four of us there. People in power need to realise that this is destroying families and prolonging recovery Norman Lamb is speaking out about this and it is so amazing. However it's also disgusting how many MP'S turn up to this debate compared to when their wages are being discussed. Thanks again for all your support. Hope you all have a good Christmas
