Hello everyone and thank you so much for your continued support with my petition. Things are happening and it is all thanks to the support we are receiving from every single person who has signed this petition. Rachael has moved to a new unit in Newcastle and seems a little bit more settled but is still really missing her family. My local MP has been supporting me and also there will soon be a meeting with myself, Rachaels ever supportive Camhs worker, the regional head of NHS England and the Regional head of mental health. Hopefully this will provide a great opportunity for me to ask the questions I need answering and finally be able to have an explanation as to why mental health care in Lancashire is so inadequate. I also hope and pray that the right people will listen and change things so that my child can be closer to her family. I also need to thank so many of you. I will do this personally to if you left contact details. The amount of cards, letters and well wishes off people we don't even know has been so overwhelming. It is greatly appreciated and very moving and emotional reading some of your own struggles that have been shared. So many people have and still are being let down by our lack of mental health services. My 21 year old son posted a video on facebook of a song he has written for his sister. I will post it in here soon. It is so emotional and just shows that this is real and this hurts. I am more determined than ever to fight for localised mental health services. This should be accessible to everybody regardless of where we live. It is not ok to take my daughter away from me and my family. It should never happen. Please keep sharing and thank you for taking the time to care for Rachael x
