Lakewood HOA should hire a new property management company!

Lakewood HOA should hire a new property management company!
The Issue
It is clear to most Lakewood at Castro Valley property owners that Walsh Property Management dropped the ball when it came to handling the homeless encampment in our neighborhood. First, they claimed ignorance of our actual property lines when homeowners first reported the problem to them in October 2017. Then, Walsh dragged their feet in dealing with the situation until they received a citation from Alameda County Code Enforcement in October 2019 that the encampment dump was now a biohazard site. Next, Walsh failed to sufficiently inform and involve all the property owners of the problem until it was too late. Finally, they chose to deny any wrongdoing or accept responsibility for their unsatisfactory management and inadequate communication. When given the opportunity to make things right and restore the public’s trust in their company by contributing to the cleanup costs, Walsh chose to stand firm and not do anything! Why are we still supporting these people with our HOA dues? Let’s vote with our wallets and select another property management company that is more professional, capable, and can do a better job managing all of our property while keeping us better informed!
