Petition to Stop Solicitation in Lakeview Farms

To: Center Township Authorities

We, the undersigned residents of Lakeview Farms, hereby petition Center Township to enact and enforce a “No Solicitation” ordinance in our neighborhood.

Purpose:
The purpose of this petition is to protect the privacy, safety, and tranquility of our community by restricting door-to-door solicitation. Unregulated solicitation disrupts our daily lives, poses potential security risks, and can be a source of unwanted pressure and intrusion.

Reasons for No Solicitation:

 1. Privacy: Residents of Lakeview Farms value their privacy and the peaceful enjoyment of their homes.
 2. Safety: Unsolicited visits can pose a security risk, particularly to vulnerable residents such as the elderly and children.
 3. Avoidance of Unwanted Interactions: Many residents do not wish to be approached for sales, political campaigns, religious proselytizing, or other forms of solicitation.
 4. Community Cohesion: Reducing unwanted solicitation helps maintain a sense of security and unity within the neighborhood.

Request:
We respectfully request that Center Township adopt an ordinance that prohibits unsolicited door-to-door activities within Lakeview Farms. This ordinance should include but not be limited to, sales, advertisements, political canvassing, and religious outreach, except for recognized charitable organizations with prior approval from the township.
