“PRESERVATION IS NOT MEANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. IT’S TO HELP IT EVOLVE THAT WAY. “
—Dean Stefanos Polyzoides
On May 7, the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation hosted University of Notre Dame School of Architecture Dean and professor Stefanos Polyzoides for a program entitled, “Lake Forest Forward: A Sensitive and Sensible Approach to Development in our Historic Downtown.” In a packed room at the LF/LB History Center, residents learned that architects and preservationists worldwide continue to emulate Lake Forest as a model for urban planning. Dean Polyzoides gave the audience a clear path for how Lake Forest can evolve to meet changing societal needs while preserving our unique architectural integrity. The video is attached, below; watch to learn how you, how we, can thoughtfully preserve our town.
