CONSIDÉRANT QUE le Club de Canotage d’Otterburn Park se démarque dans le sport du Canoë-Kayak et que, par ce fait, il fait rayonner la Ville d’Otterburn Park autant sur le plan provincial que fédéral / The club performs well and is well known in the Canoë-Kayak community and spreads the Otterburn Park name across the country every year, 

CONSIDÉRANT QUE le Club de Canotage d’Otterburn Park permet aux résidents(es) des villes de Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Otterburn Park, Beloeil, McMasterville et aux jeunes des environs de découvrir les sports nautiques et la rivière Richelieu / The club allows residents of the previously mentionned cities to discover and enjoy nautical sports and the Richelieu river,

CONSIDÉRANT QUE le Club de Canotage d’Otterburn Park est le seul Club de Canoë-Kayak de vitesse en Montérégie / The club is the only canoë-kayak club in the Montérégie region,

CONSIDÉRANT QUE le Club de Canotage d’Otterburn Park a, en 1965, fait don à la Ville d’Otterburn Park de trois lots cadastrés situés sur le bord du Richelieu à condition que la Ville d’Otterburn Park héberge à vie le Club de Canotage / The club donated, in 1965, the three lots located on the Richelieu shore in exchange for a guaranteed "lodging" of the club in the city for life. 

CONSIDÉRANT QUE, La Ville n’entend pas respecter les fondements de l’entente originale, prétend négocier et nous presse de signer une nouvelle entente qui abroge essentiellement tous les éléments fondamentaux à la survie du Club / The city doesn't intend on respecting the original deal, pretends to be negotiating a new deal with the club, and tries to get us to rapidly sign a deal that will greatly hurt the club,

CONSIDÉRANT QUE, La Ville veut dorénavant imposer de nouveaux coûts d’exploitation au Club, représentant une somme de près de 25 000$ par an à payer à la Ville et que ces montants sont établis unilatéralement par la Ville / The city wants to impose exploitation costs of around 25 000$ every year to the club, amounts that are solely established by the city and not negotiated, 

CONSIDÉRANT QUE la Ville semble vouloir investir dans l’agrandissement du bâtiment du Centre culturel de la Pointe-Valaine / The city seems to be willing to expand the size and capacity of the Pointe-Valaine building, 

CONSIDÉRANT QUE la pérennité du Club de Canotage est menacée en raison de l’avis d’expulsion émis mardi le 3 mars dernier par la Ville d’Otterburn Park / The future of the club is in jeopardy because of the expulsion notice sent by the city to the club on march 3rd,

NOUS DEMANDONS à la Ville d’Otterburn Park de retourner à la table des négociations et prendre des mesures pour rendre la cohabitation entre le Club de Canotage et la Ville d'Otterburn Park possible / We ask that the city reconsiders and negotiates with us in order for the club and the city to be able to work together,
