Dear Supporters,
We have been getting great press coverage from multiple sources and I will include the links below for you to read. Thank you for your continuous support and raising your voice in the comments section. The media outlets are starting to hear us but we still NEED THE UNIVERSITY TO HEAR US. A similar incident happened in September 2020, at West Virginia University's Theta Chi chapter and WVU has suspended 29 members of a fraternity house for not following health and safety orders related to the coronavirus pandemic. According that news piece, all 29 students received notifications letters of the interim suspensions stating they have been banned from campus and cannot take classes, including those offered online.
Unlike our Dean of Students, WVU's Dean of Students Corey Farris did not remain silent and made the following statement:
"“No matter where they are, if a student cannot abide by the health protocols put in place for their safety and the safety of the community during a global pandemic, we do not want them here,”.
That is the kind of response we want to hear from UMass. They should inform the community on campus about the disciplinary actions they take against the ones who violated the rules.
Our Voice keeps growing and here is some media coverage from local and regional media outlets:
