Kraken, a major player in the crypto exchange industry, has been a significant choice for American citizens interested in cryptocurrencies. However, many users are unfairly impacted by the platform's policy of permanently banning or suspending accounts due to alleged security breaches without ever allowing customers to reopen their accounts. 

This policy doesn't just affect a handful of users—it reflects Kraken's alarmingly low customer satisfaction score of 1.6 stars on Trustpilot. In comparison, other platforms like Coinbase and Uphold enjoy higher approval ratings between 4 to 4.5 stars, signaling a massive problem in Kraken's approach to customer service and policy enforcement.

Account suspension for security reasons is understandable, but the lack of transparency concerning what went wrong and the permanent ban issued without detailed explanations or the possibility of reinstating accounts is unjust. It feels discriminatory and punishes users for activities they've possibly never been made aware were in violation of Kraken's terms.

We propose that Kraken reconsider this stringent policy. Instead of permanent bans, Kraken should offer a temporary hold or a detailed explanation of the alleged violation with an opportunity for users to amend their behavior. This should be complemented by a fair appeals process to ensure decisions made are impartial and justified.

Every hardworking U.S. citizen deserves to use their accounts without the fear of arbitrary and discriminatory actions that prevent them from participating in the global crypto market. Let’s join forces to demand a fairer and more transparent policy from Kraken that supports, rather than penalizes, its users.
