The intersection at Powhaton and County Line Rd which borders Arapahoe and Douglas County is poorly designed and dangerous. Based on the information provided by the CDOT Fatal Crash statistics Arapahoe county has an average of 3.75 fatal crashes a month killing 4 people on average every month.  The intersection at Powhaton and County Line Rd has had 2 fatal accidents in less than 2 months and continually has numerous accidents monthly.  Somedays it has 2 accidents in one day.  This is not only devastating to the families that have lost loved ones but puts a strain on our emergency services surrounding our communities.

A stoplight or 4-way stop will help to slow people down and make them more aware of the poorly designed intersection.  Our communities surrounding this intersection along with the numerous people that travel through it deserve to have their children and other family members home safely.  We are requesting for a stoplight or 4 way stop sign to help make people aware. All of us that live in the surrounding communities near this intersection is asking that the county officials TAKE ACTION NOW not next year or the year after.  Take action now to Save a Life!
