Koalas are one of the world's favourite animals and one of the world's most iconic animals. However, koalas are in rapid decline across Australia from issues such as habitat loss, chlamydia, climate change, getting hit by cars and being attacked by dogs.

Without urgent action, Koalas face extinction before 2050.

In 2 weeks alone 3 koalas were hit and killed by cars on Narangba road. Narangba road in Brisbane is a death sentence for koalas. 

I am calling on Queensland Environment Minister Meaghan Scanlon and the transport and roads department to save koalas from getting hit by cars: Build koala underpasses, koala overpasses and install koala exclusion fencing.
