Hi thanks again for signing, just some points about what this petition asks for (feel free to copy & paste what is below for friends).

The petition agenda should be reasonable to implement.  

• This petition is about well-being & constructing thoughtfully, it is about having beauty in surrounds, as this impacts everyone, everywhere in NZ.
  
  
• The petition asks for a very simple thoughtful agenda for voting & for simple easy to implement building, such as thinking about land surrounds & angles so scenery can be seen for everyone including when walking, driving & living.

• Currently when new developments go ahead in NZ, many citizens are not aware of the developments or do not know how to oppose them (or find out about them just before development is due to start) while this petition is not about opposing anything - right now there is no actual accessible vote in place, so we can vote from a range of plans for mass housing per region in a simple way. Our current way of being able to manage development, means that many of us never even hear about what is happening & this is not voting or building thoughtfully for our surrounds.
• This petition does not oppose KiwiBuild or affordable housing (it sincerely encourages that we fulfil our housing needs & quickly).  The petition wants NZ to use our current development needs quickly & effectively as an opportunity, so we ensure we have less stress & the best circumstances we can for all.  The project is about beauty for everybody, by looking at simple considerations as a basic view.
• Because NZ is growing - & there is a need for housing, this means there needs to be thought for our surrounds.  This need has always been there & it will become more apparent because of growing housing needs.
• Accessible voting (online). Would enhance our well-being because it would allow us to see the overall impact a potential development will have so we can ensure it is done well with land surrounds in mind.
• Voting on a range of plans means looking at options & good planning & thought. It means we can all be proud of achieving not only affordable housing, but also beauty & more well-being.  The plans & voting structure do not need to be over complicated.
• Timing is important - if we are growing then we need to put plans in place during a growth phase rather than try & manage any negative outcomes, from the lack of thoughtful planning.
• Having some very basic thoughtful boundaries around how many developments can go in an area, would mean more space & special consents would be needed, so we do not end up with too many high buildings all built in a mass group.
• It is too important for well-being to ignore our small landscape & do nothing about our growing needs & planning for them.
• This proposal is not political.  It is about planning. It doesn't matter what political party you prefer, this is not relevant. :)
• The idea is to enhance everyone's well-being & have a good planning structure which is reasonable & helps our well-being & beauty of the land surrounds.
