Bernard McGuin and Collins Ibor - Castle Hill Update

A new planning application by the Thandi Partnership has been sent to Kirklees Council at Castle Hill. Thank you to 3.807 local residents who have signed this petition. Please continue to sign and share this petition.
A new application was needed as the previous planning application was due to expire as it required building work to already have commenced but this could not happen as it does have approval by Historic England.
Kirklees Council have admitted there had been an "administrative error" when it came to publishing the new application and for comments to be received from the public. The information on the Kirklees website was wrong.
The Thandi Partnership require Scheduled Monument Consent which Historic England manages on behalf of the government.
Historic England said: “We have received a Scheduled Monument Consent submission and are in the early stages of considering this in line with our usual statutory processes and timeframes."
A planning statement by the Thandi Partnership states: “Considerable discussion of a highly detailed nature has taken place with Historic England but at this moment in time further details need to be resolved before it is possible to submit the formal application for Scheduled Monument Consent".
Please email your comments and objections to Kirklees Council at DC.Admin@kirklees.gov.uk Please quote 2024/93454 heading "New Castle Hill planning application". The deadline to submit we are told is mid March.
