Currently Kirklees Council do not have a policy in place that requires them to scan peoples beloved pets! Pixie my cat who was a big part of our family was recently picked up after a RTA and incinerated by Kirklees council without any attempt to contact myself through the microchip details as she was never scanned. As the owner of a very much loved pet cat, this situation could potentially happen and already happened to hundreds if not thousands of cats and owners across Kirklees.

Please sign this petition to make Kirklees Council scan all dead animals for a microchip AND contact the owners.

Owners would never know or have the closure they deserve if this change is not made!!
