The ask

 

Pass the Kirk Act: a full federal investigation of domestic extremism, and real protection for conservative students and speakers on campus.

 

I am a supporter of the values promoted by Turning Point USA, grieving the threats faced by conservative students and speakers across campuses nationwide. Acts of extremism, whether linked to groups like BLM or campus organizations, must be met with robust federal measures to ensure the safety and security of all individuals, regardless of political ideology.

 

What we demand

 

1. A full FBI probe into extremist networks and their financial channels, escalated to the level of national security to ensure thoroughness and efficacy. By freezing the assets of these networks, we can curb their ability to perpetuate violence and disorder.
2. Hate-crime legislation: Congress must pass comprehensive hate-crime legislation specifically targeting acts of political violence. This will send a strong message that such behavior is unacceptable, and reinforce our commitment to a peaceful democratic process.
3. Title IX reevaluated: ensure Title IX is not used to protect groups that promote hate or violence, with audits of student harassment policies within educational institutions.
4. Protection at conservative events: federal investment is vital, particularly for events organized by Turning Point USA — including allocating $250,000,000 to the Department of Homeland Security for AI motion detection drones that can oversee these gatherings and preempt any violent intentions.
5. Direct federal funding for Turning Point USA, reinforcing their mission to promote free speech and conservative values on campuses.

For the sake of future generations and the principles we hold dear, it is critical we address these issues with urgency and decisiveness.
