Add 10 carparks on Charman Road, Cheltenham

Add 10 carparks on Charman Road, Cheltenham
The issue
Charman Road is a shopping strip servicing the residents of Kingston and Bayside. With wonderful restaurants and entertainment and services we have been effected by the major rail infrastructure and Covid-19. On completion of the level crossing removal the strip has lost 10 on street carparks near local businesses and schools.
The new bus interchange is a poor use of road space servicing few bus routes with limited patronage.
We are asking for council to reinstate the carparks on both sides of Charman Road from Bendigo Bank and Sammy’s barbers up to the new level crossing. These reinstated car parks will give local businesses and the local community better access to their shopping strip and it’s general services.
As a new business owner and Vice President of the Cheltenham Traders Association we are asking for your support to reinstate the car parks and give us all better access to the Charman/Station Rd shops.
