The Issue

In an increasingly diverse world, the need for a communal facility that respects and honors the funeral practices of multiple faiths has never been more pressing. This is not just a matter of convenience, but of cultural sensitivity and unity. It's time to establish a shared crematorium that caters to the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhists , Jain and non religious communities under one roof. We have different traditions and rituals, yet in this fundamental need, we stand united. Every family, regardless of their faith, deserves a dignified place to bid farewell to their loved ones.

Statistics reveal that multicultural societies like ours are becoming more prevalent, and it is crucial to adapt our infrastructure to accommodate this diversity. The establishment of such a crematorium can lead to more inclusive communities, fostering mutual respect and understanding among different cultures and religions.

The logistical benefits are clear. Currently, families often have to travel significant distances to find appropriate facilities that cater to their specific religious practices. This not only adds to the emotional and financial burden during an already difficult time but also highlights the gap in our community's infrastructure.

Our proposal is to create a state-of-the-art facility that includes separate areas for different rituals so that each tradition is respected and maintained. By doing so, we provide a practical solution that meets the needs of our diverse community.

By signing this petition, you support the creation of a shared crematorium that upholds the values of dignity, respect, and unity. Together, let us ensure that every family has access to respectful and appropriate funeral services. Sign now to be part of this important change.

Let’s take bigger steps so that we can touch more communities in the same situation
