As we know divorce has become the "thing to do". Or even if you're not married and have children together, you start war from the moment you say "it's over!". Here you have two grown adults who loved each other at one time to have the biggest blessings ever received. Yet the hate and anger for each other blinds you from seeing what it does to your children.

The idea is to have parents attend one on one counseling (minimum six weeks) and get the proper tools that best fit their situation. What works for me, may not work for you. This will be court ordered for every disputing case in family courts. It took two of you to bring your child into this world. It's going to take both of you to make sure that your child grows up to be a successful individual. YOUR CHILD IS OUR FUTURE. Why would you be selfish and allow them to become part of a statistic? If you are a parent who is staying in the game to "get back" at your ex as the only reason why you stay a part of your child's life. SHAME ON YOU.

My goal is to set this in place for Texas and then expand it national.

I'm hoping that interns can assist with this program so the state wouldn't have to fund this that much or if any. According to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, I hear that interns have a hard time finding places to do their internship!!! Did you know they have to do 3,000 + hours of internship! 1500 of that is direct one on one with patients! Everyone would win going this way. Interns get their hours they need to get their LPC and families get that one on one counseling to help get them on healthy track before walking out of that court room.
