Kick Aref Poustindouz, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s nephew, out of the U.S
The Issue
IRGC-linked individuals have no place in the United States.
Aref Poustindouz — widely identified in public sources as the nephew of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Ahmadinejad’s presidency (2005–2013) is widely associated with the 2009 crackdown, mass arrests, and the suppression of dissent.
A period marked by fear, pressure, and the silencing of people.
That history is not forgotten.
Today, while living in the United States, he has publicly expressed support for the IRGC and made disrespectful remarks toward Reza Pahlavi and the Iranian people.
Why should someone connected to that system live freely in the U.S. and enjoy its freedoms,
while the Iranian people are denied even basic human rights such as access to the internet?
No IRGC-linked individual should have this privilege.
⸻
🧾 Petition Statement
We, the undersigned, respectfully call on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other relevant U.S. authorities to review and investigate individuals residing in the United States who may have ties to, affiliations with, or public support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the IRGC.
The Iranian people have suffered for decades under a regime widely accused of violent repression, censorship, mass arrests, executions, internet blackouts, and serious human rights violations.
At a time when millions of Iranians are fighting for freedom, dignity, and basic human rights, it is deeply concerning that individuals who support or are connected to such institutions may be benefiting from the freedoms, safety, and opportunities available in the United States.
This petition is not about personal disagreement or political opinion.
This is about:
• Public safety
• National security
• Human rights
• Accountability
⸻
⚠️ Key Concerns
1. Reported Family Connection to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
He is widely identified in public sources as a relative of former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose administration has been associated with repression and suppression of dissent.
2. Possible Immigration Concerns
There may be concerns regarding possible misrepresentation or irregularities related to immigration status that warrant formal review.
3. Public Support for the Iranian Regime
Concerns have been raised regarding public expressions of support for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
4. Potential Affiliations With Regime-Linked Institutions
Any possible affiliations or support for entities such as the IRGC should be reviewed through appropriate legal and national security channels.
5. Public Safety and National Security Considerations
The United States should not serve as a safe haven for individuals connected to systems widely accused of repression and human rights abuses.
⸻
📩 What We Are Asking For
We respectfully call on ICE and relevant U.S. authorities to:
• Review this individual’s immigration status
• Investigate any potential irregularities or concerns
• Examine any public support for the Iranian regime
• Assess any possible affiliations with IRGC-linked entities
• Take appropriate legal action if violations are identified
⸻
🇺🇸 Why This Matters
The United States stands for freedom, justice, accountability, and the protection of human dignity.
It must not serve as a refuge—directly or indirectly—for individuals connected to systems that silence, imprison, and repress their own people.
Standing with the people of Iran means standing against those who support the systems that oppress them.
⸻
🏁 Closing
We stand with the people of Iran.
We stand for accountability.
We stand for public safety.
We stand for justice.
