Hi all, I just wanted to reach out to let you know we’ve just passed 963 signatures on our petition! Thank you so much for your support! Will you help us get more support by sharing this petition with ten other people? If enough of us sign we can’t be ignored! Here’s a link to share https://www.change.org/p/kevin-sayer-dexcom-fix-g6

You can also share your G6 Sensor Errors by tagging @type1diabetic_life on Instagram with #FixG6 for a repost to our Stories. Please check that for weekly updates and informative posts.

As of 10/1/2020, my 5yr old T1d daughter, Coral, has decided to take a "Dex Break." We have poked her more than 20 times in the past 24 hours. It feels like it did when she was first diagnosed almost five years ago. Sleep deprivation for two months has taken it's toll and we're all burntout.

Her highest BG was in the 300s at night after a new pump site change (this has been a recent occurrence for past two months) and the lowest BG was a scary 37 mg/dL just this afternoon, 10/2/20. Again, she's hypounaware and could not detect this severe hypo, neither did she show any sign of a seizure. We are safe at home, of course, in strict self-isolation with her being high-risk to severe Covid illness since 3/12/20.

If this petition does not get Sayer's attention, then we will be praying Abbott's Freestyle Libre 3 recieves FDA approval in the U.S. sometime next year. It's gonna be the next real CGM, smaller and more affordable than Dexcom. Warmest regards,

Shelsea & Coral
