It's been far too long since my last update, so here's quick one. The college website has been updated. Now potential students can check if their program is an e-text program. The program has been expanded for next year, which is very intriguing. We're now 3/4 of the way (more or less) through the academic year and no feedback has been gathered regarding student satisfaction with e-texts (at least no one asked my class). Again, it begs the question as to who benefits from this program. Right now, next year's students are bound to a program whose benefits to students are questionable. For sure the college collected book revenue from 100% of e-text students. Not one iota of feedback has been elicited so far regarding student satisfaction. We were PROMISED, earlier in the year that the college would gather feedback. So students' interests are now bound even more tightly to the interests of textbook publishers with the expansion of this program. At least in the past, students had choice...
