Levy higher fines and penalties on power plants and other manufacturers who contaminate the river by way of chemical, thermal, or substances that would pose danger to aquatic wildlife. 

Just recently, 1200 fish were killed by Brunner Island Power Plant's "glitch" in the system during maintenance. What resulted was a drastic temperature change that killed thousands of fish - fish that recreational anglers pay for the privilege pursue. As recreational anglers, we pay for the right to fish and enjoy those moments with family and friends. Do not allow major companies to skirt by easily with small fines that do not go toward repopulating lost fish. Sign this petition today, and help save the Susquehanna River from fish kills!
