You may never get an apology from the person who has changed the course of your life in such a traumatic way so let me say it!
I am sorry! I am so sorry you did not reach your destination safely. I am sorry your attacker saw you as his for his taking. I am sorry that our Court System has failed you!
I am so proud of how ferociously and fiercely you would have been fighting him off you! It would have been the fight of your life that you were not prepared for!
My promise to you, for what it is worth, is I will never stop fighting for this cause. I will never stop being loud over the total miscarriage of justice when it comes to these appalling lean verdicts handed down, until the changes are made. I will never stop advocating for Women and our basic Human Right to make it home safely every night.
I will hold you all in my heart. You will be the drive behind how passionately I will speak about this topic and I will hope that one day you will see a glimmer of light again.
