Keep Warcry Supported with Ongoing Digital Updates

Keep Warcry Supported with Ongoing Digital Updates
Das Problem
To Games Workshop,
Warcry has become one of the most accessible and rewarding ways to enter the Warhammer Age of Sigmar hobby. Its smaller model count, fast gameplay, and flexible warband-building make it an ideal gateway for new players who want to start with a modest investment and expand over time.
We are asking Games Workshop to continue supporting Warcry through lightweight digital updates on Warhammer Community. In particular, we request that Warcry receive new fighter profiles for newly released miniatures, along with occasional FAQ, balance, and rules updates in downloadable format.
This kind of support would be a win for both the community and Games Workshop.
For players, it keeps Warcry fresh, relevant, and easy to enjoy. Warcry thrives on experimentation: players buy a few models, try different factions, explore different playstyles, and gradually grow their collections. For many hobbyists, Warcry is not just a standalone game – it is an on-ramp into the wider Age of Sigmar range.
For Games Workshop, continued Warcry support is a low-overhead way to strengthen player engagement and encourage long-term hobby investment. A healthy Warcry ecosystem helps new and returning players discover miniatures, factions, and mechanics they may later expand into larger Age of Sigmar armies.
Warcry also benefits from an exceptionally active community. Fans have already shown how strong the game remains by building high-quality open-source tools, including databases, game aids, campaign helpers, and card creators. That level of engagement is a clear sign that Warcry still has momentum and a dedicated player base worth supporting.
We are not asking for a major relaunch or a large-scale print program. We are simply asking for continued digital support in the form of downloadable fighter profiles and occasional rules updates via Warhammer Community as a practical, sustainable model that would keep Warcry alive and thriving.
We respectfully ask Games Workshop to:
- Continue publishing Warcry updates through Warhammer Community.
- Provide fighter profiles for new miniatures as downloadable content.
- Offer occasional FAQ, errata, and balance updates.
- Recognize Warcry as an important gateway into the Age of Sigmar hobby.
Warcry is a game that rewards curiosity, experimentation, and growth. Continued official support would preserve a vibrant part of the Warhammer ecosystem while benefiting both players and Games Workshop.
Please sign this petition and help show that Warcry still matters.
