This is a petition to stop use of AI in the library at vancouver technical secondary, specifically in citation generation, text or other creative media generation, and event posters. 

We recognize that we cannot ask teachers to avoid AI for personal use, we ask that AI not be used to teach students. AI is not inherently bad, but carries risks and has a negative environmental impact. We as a school should value human creativity.

Until AI has been proved to be safe, sustainable, and ethical, we ask that AI should not be used in our library.
