Had an offer from the chapel to be allowed to use the route with consent with a lot of conditions, one of which was quite strange.
It was that in Oder to use the gate we must accept that all the land in the car park and chapel grounds belonged to the chapel.

So after some checking on the land registry by a neighbour we’ve found out why they want that declared. 
On the original sasine register the distance from the front of our houses to the chapel boundary is 50ft, but on measuring it we’ve found that to be 25ft meaning that they’ve built there new car park 25ft onto our property.
