The Ricketts family have stated their intention to purchase Chelsea football club after Roman listed the club for sale.

All Chelsea fans are against the family owning our club.

• Joe Rickett’s has a history of being Islamophobic in leaked emails. He claimed that Muslims were enemies, Islam is a ‘thing of evil’ and ‘not a religion’
• NBC Sports Chicago: “An Omaha pastor said he walked out of a meeting Monday when Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts used the phrase, “The problem I have with you people,” while addressing black community leaders.”
• Todd Ricketts referring to COVID-19 as the kung-flu and making off-handed remarks re: concentration camps.
• Political links: Chicago Tribune: “No other team in professional sports is as intertwined with President Donald Trump’s administration as the Cubs, from co-owner/board member Todd Ricketts serving as the fundraising chairman for Trump’s reelection campaign.”
• Conflict of interest between the Ricketts & Raine, who are handling the sale of Chelsea FC.

Chelsea not only have Muslim players within the squad but in the fan base and wider community. The Ricketts’ racist and islamaphobic views are unacceptable regardless. Moreover, political ties and conflict of interest with Raine make it imperative that they are removed from the bidding process.

Since this news will be swept under the carpet, we have to make it known through a petition.
