Mom's, families, anyone that cares about our community...Our local hospital birth center needs your help! We are currently under consideration for the unit to be closed due to the cost of running it 24/7 and keeping it safely staffed. 

There will also be NO EMERGENCY SURGERY TEAM. 

This would be devastating to our community. It will affect our already over worked and understaffed EMS (ambulance) workers.

Women that don't have the option to drive to Albany to have their babies and a great disruption to care for those that have chosen to have their babies local. 

Having a baby at a small hospital means families have a safe middle ground between busy big hospitals and home births. 

Maternal health and safety is already a great problem nationwide. Closing small units and critical access hospitals will not help.
