In 2010 Allyn John Slater abducted 8 year old Trinity Bates from the bedroom of her Bundaberg home in the middle of night as she slept.   Slater has been convicted of murdering Trinity and dumping her lifeless body in a storm water drain causing immeasurable lifelong grief to her parents and family. 

Despite being in jail, Slater was caught in 2023 writing out his ongoing depraved fantasies of sex with children and murder. Slater is now 34 years old and able to apply for parole from the 22nd of August 2025 but his writings show that he is as dangerous now as he was the day he murdered Trinity.   

Trinity’s parents are seeking help from the general community to sign this petition to keep Slater in jail as long as possible to keep children safe.

Bruce and Denise Morcombe of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation are supporting Trinity’s parents in this endeavour, so no other family have to go through what they have experienced.
