Kainga Ora want to close access to the historic seaplane ramp at Hobsonville Point this Sunday the 21st of April, 2024. This was built nearly 100 years ago by our airforce.

There are alot of local people and visitors from outside the area who utilise this facility daily and through out the week for fishing, swimming, swimming their dogs, and for access to their boats that are moored out there. 

There has been no provisions for dinghy storage at the new facility which is not built yet. The new wharf has also not been completed so anyone who wishes to get to their boats on a mooring out from Hobsonville Point will not be able to do so.

Please sign and share this petition to stop this facility from being closed, cutting off access for the fishermen, the people who own the boats moored in the area and the locals from using this local and national piece of history.

No provisions have been made by the people deciding that this facility is to be closed.
